Location: UK

Overview

A leading global pharmaceutical organization is seeking a Head of Quality to oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance and ensure compliance with UK, EU, and international regulations. This senior leadership role will manage the Quality Management System (QMS), champion a culture of quality and compliance, and act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with UK, EU, and international regulations.
  • Act as RP/RPi on the Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA(H)).
  • Oversee deviations, CAPAs, change controls, complaints, and risk assessments.
  • Manage audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and lead Quality Management Reviews.
  • Ensure supplier qualification, technical agreements, and third-party oversight.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance teams to align quality objectives.
  • Support and maintain electronic quality systems and training processes.
  • Keep up to date with evolving regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Eligible RP and/or RPi with strong experience in QA leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP, GDP, GPvP, and MAH responsibilities.
  • Proven track record managing QMS and compliance in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong experience with audits, inspections, and quality investigations.
  • Skilled in eQMS, root cause analysis, and CAPA management.
  • Degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
