Head of Operations – Clean Energy Infrastructure

Aegis Energy is on a mission to decarbonise commercial transport—one clean energy hub at a time.

We're building a national network of 50+ purpose-built hubs to provide electric charging, hydrogen, HVO, and bio-CNG to commercial fleets. This is real infrastructure, for real change—serving a sector that produces nearly 40% of UK transport emissions.

♂ What You’ll Do

As Head of Operations, you’ll be the driving force behind the smooth and profitable running of our sites—overseeing refuelling, recharging, retail, and supporting services. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone who wants to build from the ground up, scale with speed, and deliver real results.

You’ll:

• Lead the startup and ongoing operation of clean energy hubs across the UK.
• Drive P&L performance across multiple revenue streams (energy, retail, etc.).
• Build, lead and inspire a growing ops team—field service, operations managers, and site support.
• Implement scalable processes and use data and tech to optimise performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with QHSE, technical, commercial, and finance teams.
• Drive operational excellence with a clear focus on safety, compliance, and customer experience.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re not just an operator—you’re a builder. You’re excited by innovation, infrastructure, and impact. You can get your hands dirty while thinking strategically. You know how to scale.

Must-haves:

• 5–10+ years in operations leadership (fuel, EV charging, retail, FMCG or similar).
• Proven experience managing multi-site P&Ls, delivering profit and service targets.
• Strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a love for operational detail.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• A collaborative leadership style and a passion for team building.

Bonus if you bring:

• Experience scaling infrastructure or operations in a high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data-led performance tracking.
• An entrepreneurial mindset—creative, resilient, and solutions-oriented.
