  • Strategic advisory work: developing compliance programmes, risk assessments, and market strategy guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting on multi-jurisdictional merger filings, including liaising with competition regulators.
  • Supporting clients through cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, dawn raids, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Advising corporate and private equity clients on competition aspects of cross-border M&A and joint ventures.
  • Drafting complex regulatory submissions, responses to authorities, and client memoranda.
  • Coordinating with colleagues across European and U.S. Offices on integrated global strategies.
  • Engaging in client development initiatives, including training sessions and thought leadership.

Candidate Profile:

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years’ PQE in antitrust/competition law, ideally gained at a top-tier international, US, or Magic Circle firm.

  • Demonstrable understanding of both UK and EU competition regimes, with familiarity of cross-border and multi-authority processes.
  • Strong academic background with excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage complex workloads, coordinate multi-jurisdictional matters, and work effectively under pressure.

What the role offers

  • Exposure to some of the most complex and high-profile UK, EU, and international competition cases.
  • The opportunity to work as part of an integrated European/U.S. Practice group without jurisdictional boundaries.
  • Direct client contact and responsibility at an early stage of your career.
