Deverellsmith are working with a leading developer to recruit a motivated, Quantity Surveyor who has passion for the built environment.


The successful Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to deliver a site over 1,400 acres, delivering 6,500 much needed homes, schools, commercial space and much much more in the East Midlands
This developer has a fantastic reputation for developing their staff, both professionally and personally. You will join a very successful Commercial team who have helped take this development through planning and now delivery.
· BSc. In Quantity Surveying or other Construction related qualification
· Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
· Understanding of forms of contract, cost estimating and procurement
· Good level of IT literacy

Quantity Surveyor responsibilities.
Supporting the Commercial Team with necessary inter-action with the Regional Project Managers, Project Directors and Accountant Leads as these schemes move towards delivery, ensuring cost, cash flow and budgets are aligned within the broader business planning and agreed Option or Purchase Agreements, Licences and Contracts.
Pre Construction
· Support the pre-acquisition and pre-development, when requested, with activities including commercial due diligence, cost planning, feasibility estimating and risk assessment.
· When requested inputting into commercial aspects of bids and contributing towards commercial aspects of programming and phasing.
· Where the bid is successful create a link between the pre-planning and pre-construction work and the delivery work on site and assisting in the transition of commercial knowledge between the bid/option process and the development/project management teams.
· Assist in bid preparation
