Eaton Syalon Ltd is looking for an Human Resources Advisor in Nottingham

Job description

HR Advisor

Nottingham (Hybrid)

£34,000 – £38,000 + Enhanced Benefits Package

Exclusive to Eaton Syalon

Are you an HR professional who enjoys variety and being involved in everything from projects right through to the day-to-day details?

We’re partnering with a forward-thinking Nottingham business that’s investing heavily in its people agenda. They’re looking for a hands on HR Advisor who wants to play a key role across the full HR remit – supporting both employees and managers, and ensuring the HR function runs smoothly from top to bottom.

This role offers the chance to get involved in everything: from employee relations, engagement and projects, through to payroll prep, onboarding and HR administration. If you like rolling up your sleeves and having a real impact, this could be the right next step for you.

As HR Advisor, you’ll be a go-to support for the business, covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Employee relations casework (absence, disciplinary, grievance)
  • Coordinating recruitment processes and onboarding new starters
  • Preparing payroll data, contracts, and compliance checks
  • Managing day-to-day HR administration, ensuring records and systems are accurate and up to date
  • Supporting performance reviews, training activities and engagement initiatives
  • Ownership of HR projects and culture-building initiatives

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and approachable HR professional with:

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, covering both HR admin and advisory work
  • Exposure to ER casework, payroll, benefits and recruitment
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • A positive and adaptable approach, comfortable with both day-to-day tasks and wider projects

What’s on Offer

  • Salary of £35,000 – £38,000 plus enhanced benefits
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in the Nottingham office)
  • A values-led environment where HR is seen as a true partner to the business
  • A genuinely broad role with scope to develop further

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a difference while building your HR career, we’d love to hear from you.
