TEFL Teacher – SEN Residential School (L17)


Location: L17, Liverpool

Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time (with potential for permanent placement)

Qualifications Required: QTS & TEFL Certification

Age Range: SEN pupils aged 10–18

Setting: Residential


We’re looking for a passionate and qualified TEFL Teacher to join our specialist team in a residential SEN school based in the L17 area of Liverpool. This is a unique opportunity to work with small class groups of children and young people aged 10–18, many of whom are from care backgrounds and present with a range of complex needs, including behavioural, emotional, and learning challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering tailored English language lessons to SEN pupils
  • Supporting learners with varied emotional and behavioural needs
  • Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic development
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • TEFL qualification (essential)
  • Experience working with SEN or vulnerable young people
  • A trauma-informed, flexible and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
