Interim Leveraged Finance Lawyer in London Area

A niche B2B financial institution is looking to hire an interim Leveraged Finance Counsel to join its London-based legal team for a 6-month contract. This is a rare opportunity to work within an equity-funded bank that supports strategic investments in infrastructure, digitalisation, and sustainability across Europe.

The client operates a lean team across Europe and focuses exclusively on corporate finance. With no retail banking operations, it supports internal business units in sectors such as renewable energy, battery storage, data centres, and healthcare technology.

You’ll be stepping into a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment, advising on:

• Structured and project finance transactions (leveraged finance)
• Financing solutions for solar parks, data centres, and digital asset models.
• LMA documentation review and strategic input (not drafting – external counsel used).
• NDAs, reliance letters, margin grids, and AI tools.
• Supporting new offerings for the XaaS economy and healthcare sector

Role requirements:

· Qualified lawyer (UK or German) with strong experience in leveraged/project finance.

· Familiarity with LMA documentation and working with external counsel (e.g. Top-tier firms)

· Commercial mindset and ability to act as a true business partner

· Fast learner, proactive, and pragmatic – someone who “gets it” quickly.
