Job Title: Court of Protection Solicitor

Location: North London

Salary: £42,000 – £58,000/year + bonus

Job Type: Full-time (hybrid)

A highly regarded Legal 500 firm based in North London is seeking a Court of Protection Associate, either newly qualified or with 2–3 years' post-qualification experience,to join its well-established Private Client department. This is a specialist role within the Property and Affairs area of Court of Protection work, dealing with complex and high-value estates. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, empathetic solicitor with a genuine interest in Court of Protection work. You should have a strong ability to build lasting client relationships and maintain high professional standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters (Property & Affairs)
  • Work closely with the Deputy, the OPG, clients, and their families to ensure decisions are made in the best interests of the individual
  • Prepare and manage Court applications, including Statutory Will applications
  • Attend and represent the Deputy at Court of Protection hearings
  • Investigate suspicions of financial abuse
  • Handle estate administration matters where relevant


Requirements:

  • A strong background in Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) or Private Clients
  • Solid experience in managing files independently
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly
  • Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
