Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Preston
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Primary School in Preston. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted 1:1 and small group support, including some work with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a full-time position starting immediately, with a contract length of 3 to 6 months, offering competitive daily pay based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS/KS1/KS2 (depending on placement)
  
  
• Provide 1:1 or small group SEN support under teacher guidance
  
  
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  
  
• Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources
  
  
• Promote inclusion and support individual learning plans
  
  
• Record observations and report pupil progress to teachers

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months’ recent experience in a school setting
  
  
• Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language)
  
  
• TA qualification (Level 2 or higher) or equivalent experience
  
  
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
  
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
