Structured Finance Lawyer


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious lawyer to join a growing speciality finance and structured finance practice within a leading global law firm. This entrepreneurial team advises borrowers, issuers, sponsors, asset managers, and credit funds on innovative and asset-backed financing solutions across a wide variety of sectors.


The Role


You’ll work closely with partners and clients on a broad range of transactions, including:


  • Corporate cashflow and structured finance deals across multiple asset classes
  • Borrowing base structures (corporate lends, warehouses, and private securitisations)
  • Cashflow or recurring revenue lending and growth capital facilities
  • Complex mezzanine transactions and bespoke financing structures


You’ll gain exposure to diverse clients and sectors, advising on first-of-their-kind, innovative transactions, including fintech, SME lending, real estate-backed financing, consumer credit, and other novel asset classes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drafting and negotiating term sheets, facilities agreements, intercreditor agreements, and security documents
  • Acting across all elements of financings from structuring through to closing and post-closing
  • Managing transactions efficiently while liaising with counterparties, clients, and colleagues across multiple practice groups (corporate, restructuring, regulatory, tax, etc.)
  • Supporting business development initiatives and building your own client network with partner guidance


About You


We are looking for a lawyer with:


  • 5+ PQE (structured finance/securitisation experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with proven transaction management experience
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, able to own client relationships and workstreams
  • Confidence in conducting commercial negotiations with counterparties
  • Excellent client relationship and business development skills
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and jurisdictions
