We’re excited to be recruiting for a leading independent broker in the region, offering a rare opportunity to work directly alongside the Head of Commercial and lead a growing team in Hull.

The Role

You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of Handlers managing a wide range of commercial insurance programmes. Key areas of focus include:

✅ Supporting the Head of Commercial on strategy and business growth

✅ Leading and motivating a high-performing team

✅ Driving technical development and improving client journey processes

✅ Managing workloads and maintaining service standards

✅ Championing a positive team culture and embedding core company values

✅ Ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and compliance in all interactions

What You’ll Bring

✔ Solid commercial insurance experience

✔ Previous leadership or team management experience

✔ Knowledge of FCA/regulatory frameworks

✔ Cert CII (or working towards)

✔ Strong communication and coaching skills

✔ Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset

✔ Experience with Acturis is a plus
