R&D Tax Compliance Specialist in City Of London

Leonid Group is partnered with one of the top consultancies in the R&D Tax space in the search for a Senior Compliance Consultant.

You will be responsible for reviewing R&D claims prepared by the Technical Consultants, ensuring accuracy, due-diligence and compliance with HMRC legislation and guidance. In addition, you will also be responsible for defending enquiries received, where further information and evidence may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing of claims prepared by Technical Consultants - including on complex submissions.
• Managing enquiries to a successful resolution, guiding consultants and clients through the process.
• Be the point of contact & technical expert for ad-hoc queries.
• Support the Consulting team on technical scoping calls.
• Be involved in pitching to prospective clients.
• Contribute to the drive for continuous improvement, including technical training and process improvements

Experience Required:

• Current background in R&D, with strong technical knowledge
• Experience of reviewing/submitting claim reports and defending HMRC enquiries
• Excellent attention to detail and able to identify improvements to processes
• Self-starter approach and mindset
