We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House Receptionist to join our busy veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. From greeting owners and their pets to managing appointments and administrative tasks, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our front desk and deliver a first-class client experience. You must be well-groomed, personable and presentable as the face of the clinic.


  • Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and appointment bookings
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Handle payments and invoicing
  • Provide information on services, products, and general pet care advice (non-clinical)
  • Support the veterinary team with administrative duties
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, safe and welcoming


Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, approachable and empathetic manner
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computer systems and booking software
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
  • Previous reception or customer service experience (ideally within a veterinary or healthcare setting, though not essential)
  • A genuine love of animals and commitment to client care


Hours

40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 (with a 1-hour unpaid break) but flexibility required on occasions with time in lieu.
