  • Key Responsibilities


As Head of Compliance, you will:

  • Own and develop the business’s Regulatory Compliance Framework
  • Define and maintain the Regulatory Risk Universe, policies, and internal controls
  • Lead the Compliance Monitoring Plan and manage delivery through your team
  • Oversee the Compliance Training Plan, including bespoke training sessions
  • Track and communicate regulatory developments across the business
  • Act as the key contact for regulators and market bodies, managing reviews and interactions
  • Provide compliance input into new business initiatives and market opportunities
  • Lead oversight of sanctions screening, complaints management, and data protection
  • Maintain and enhance the firm’s SM&CR framework, ensuring continued compliance
  • Advise on Product Governance and document a fit-for-purpose oversight framework
  • Coordinate the annual Lloyd’s Oversight Principles self-assessment process

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance within a Lloyd’s market firm — essential
  • A blend of advisory, policy, monitoring, and oversight experience
  • Ability to partner with business teams to provide clear, commercially aware compliance advice
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA Handbook, SM&CR, and Lloyd’s oversight
  • Previous exposure to areas like product governance, complaints, sanctions, and data protection
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels
