Learning & Growth Lead – Strategic Development Focus

Salary: £50,000–£65,000 per annum

Location: Kent

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent


A leading FMCG/Food Manufacturing organisation is seeking a Learning & Growth Lead to drive strategic development and embed a culture of continuous learning across the business. This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at a pivotal time in its growth journey.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a robust Learning & Development strategy aligned with business goals and operational needs.
  • Champion a values-led approach to training and development across all levels of the organisation.
  • Develop a company-wide learning framework that supports both individual and team growth.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing L&D team, building internal capability.
  • Ensure compliance with training standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Create innovative learning solutions for leadership and management development.
  • Manage and optimise the apprenticeship levy.
  • Oversee external training partnerships and ensure alignment with internal standards.
  • Implement a blended learning approach including digital, in-person, and social learning platforms.
  • Continuously enhance the Learning Management System to improve engagement and accessibility.
  • Monitor training effectiveness using KPIs and manage the L&D budget.
  • Develop coaching and mentoring frameworks to support talent development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor learning initiatives to specific departmental needs.
  • Promote and celebrate learning achievements to foster a culture of growth.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in leading L&D functions within FMCG or Food Manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in strategic learning design and implementation.
  • Experience working in regulated or audit-intensive sectors.
  • Expertise in leadership development and digital learning platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Skilled in LMS management and content creation.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
