Funds / Asset Management Associate (2–3PQE, with Restructuring Experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a talented mid-level associate (2–3PQE) to join a highly regarded international law firm’s Funds and Asset Management team in London. This role offers the opportunity to advise a sophisticated client base across private equity, hedge funds, asset managers, institutional investors, and financial institutions.
Alongside funds and asset management work, the role will include exposure to distressed investments, restructuring strategies, and insolvency matters, working in close collaboration with the firm’s restructuring and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on fund formation, asset management, and investment structures.
- Support clients on fund financing, secondary transactions, and joint ventures.
- Handle mandates involving distressed funds, restructuring vehicles, and special situations investments.
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation, LP/GP agreements, and related finance/corporate documents.
- Collaborate with cross-border teams on multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Engage in client relationship management and contribute to business development.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or other common law jurisdiction).
- 2–3PQE with strong experience in funds/asset management and exposure to restructuring or insolvency.
- Experience advising private equity, asset managers, or financial institutions is advantageous.
- Excellent technical drafting skills and commercial judgment.
- Confident working directly with clients and managing junior support where needed.
- Strong academics and training from a leading firm.
