Chief of Staff
Location: London (4 days a week in the office)
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + 20% bonus
Start Date: Immediate
Middlemore is currently seeking an Interim Chief of Staff on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our PE-backed client, based in London. This position requires a highly organised and strategic professional who can act as a trusted advisor, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all groups.

The Chief of Staff will be working across three main responsibility areas:
- Strategic support to the Executive team
- Data interpretation and business planning
- Comms and coordination.
The role demands a dynamic individual capable of managing complex tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, high-calibre Chief of Staff to support our clients' Board and executive team in a truly flexible and varied role. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual with a management consulting background to work at the heart of a global business, acting as a bridge across teams and projects.
Key Deliverables & Targets
- Strategy & Projects: Leading one-off projects across a range of strategic initiatives to provide solid (often data-driven) fact-based recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team to support decision making.
- Programme Management: Project Managing change initiatives in the organisation, liaising with the SLT to create project plans, driving key workstreams, and ultimately delivering the programme.
- Business Operations: Pick up and deliver on a wide range of tasks that the Board cannot address directly, from leadership recruitment to HR departures and corporate affairs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders to anticipate challenges, pilot initiatives, and ensure smooth operations.
- Stakeholder Communications: Support developing SLT communications for key strategic initiatives, and wider organisational comms where necessary
- Output: Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making
Skills & Experience
- Background: 4–5 years of steady experience in big 4 management consulting
- Programme Management, Data Analytics, Strategy, Operations, and Business Enablement expertise.
- No ego: Willingness to roll up sleeves and tackle any task, big or small, across all business functions.
- Discretion: Ability to handle confidential information with care.
- Strong Voice: Able to contribute objectively and thoughtfully within a close-knit, high-performing team.
- Flexibility: Able to work across multiple time zones
Working Style
- London-based: 4 days a week in the office.
- Global Team: Act as a bridge across the group, working closely with the wider leadership team
- Immediate Start: We are looking for someone who can impress from day one and start immediately.
