Contracts Lawyer in London Area

Job description

We are currently working with a London Borough who are looking to appoint a Contracts Lawyer on a six month temporary basis.

They had previously been outsourcing their Contracts Lawyers and support, but they are now bringing it in-house, needing locums to fill the gaps until the permanent recruitment is complete, a process they expecting to take them into 2026.

This is a London-based position on a full-time contract of 36 hours per week. This organisation is offering a heavily remote role that requires office attendance c. Once a week, with a negotiable rate dependent on experience.

Junior Lawyer, duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Handling a mixed caseload of Contracts matters
• Writing legal reports ahead of the Commissioning Board meeting noting the potential legal ramifications
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policies
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party clients in respect of contractual obligations
• Rate of £45.00 - £50.00 (negotiable dependant on experience)

Experience required:

• Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX, or similar legal qualification and authorised to conduct legal work
• Ideally 3-4 years PQE

Working hours:

• Full time (36 hours a week)
• Monday to Friday
