Location: Birmingham | Full-time | Permanent | 8+ years PQE
Overview
Our client, a leading law firm, is expanding its presence in Birmingham and is seeking a talented Principal Associate – Commercial to join their newly established office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior solicitor to lead on high-value, strategic commercial matters across a wide range of sectors.
The Role
As Principal Associate, you will work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver expert legal advice on:
- Commercial contracts
- Supply and purchasing agreements
- Agency and distribution arrangements
- Outsourcing and IT agreements
- IP licensing
- Data protection and privacy matters
You will also support:
- Business development initiatives
- Team supervision and mentoring
- Firm-wide strategic projects
Candidate Profile
Our client is looking for a commercially minded legal professional with:
- 8+ years PQE, ideally from a City or large regional firm
- Strong technical expertise in commercial, IP, and IT law
- A pragmatic, client-focused approach to legal advice
- A passion for leadership and mentoring
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
