About the Client:
We are working with a highly respected main contractor, known for delivering large-scale construction projects on time and to the highest standards. With an exceptional reputation in the industry, this client has a track record of successful project completions, often involving multi-million-pound projects that meet rigorous quality and compliance standards.

Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their team on a temporary contract until the end of January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with project and company standards. This role requires immediate availability and experience in handling large-scale construction projects, particularly those valued above 100 mill. Must also be experienced using Aconex.

-Setting up a new project on Aconex
-Developing Aconex protocol in line with company template
-Guide/help consultants understanding Aconex, registering, uploading drawings
-Setting up project workflows
-Managing document registrations - uploading various documents and reports, introducing correct folders and disciplines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project documentation in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Ensure documents are uploaded, reviewed, and distributed through Aconex.
  • Support the project team with the submission and tracking of documents.
  • Coordinate the processing of Gateway 2 submissions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth document flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices for document control.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable experience working on projects valued above 100 mill
  • Experience with Gateway 2 submissions.
  • Proficiency with Aconex document management system.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to the role until the end of January 2026.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • RDrive Snagging Tool experience is desirable, but not essential.
