NPD Concept Technologist – North Yorkshire

We’re working with a leading name in the food manufacturing industry to find a passionate and creative NPD Concept Technologist to join their team at their site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves food, thrives in a kitchen environment, and enjoys turning ideas into real products that hit supermarket shelves and foodservice menus.

The Role:

You'll be part of a collaborative NPD team, working from concept to launch on exciting new products. This role is heavily kitchen-based, so it’s perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on development and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating new product concepts based on market trends and customer briefs
• Supporting product trials and launches
• Working closely with commercial and operations teams
• Writing specs and technical documentation
• Managing multiple projects and customer timelines
• Attending benchmarking sessions and quality panels

Salary: Circa £40,000

About You:

• Background in food manufacturing or a chef/culinary development role
• Passionate about food and current trends in retail and hospitality
• Creative, detail-oriented, and confident working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator and team player
• Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
