Lilac Street Limited is supporting a well-known high street brand in their search for an experienced and creative Lingerie and Swimwear Designer based in South West London. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, female-focused brand and play a key role in shaping stylish, high-quality collections that resonate with their loyal customer base.


About the Role:


We are looking for a talented designer to create seasonal lingerie and swimwear collections, from initial concept to finished product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure collections are not only on-trend and innovative but also commercially viable.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop seasonal collections across lingerie and swimwear.
  • Produce original concepts, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with product developers and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready.
  • Source fabrics, trims, and materials to bring designs to life.
  • Stay ahead of fashion trends to maintain fresh and innovative collections.
  • Lead collection development workshops with buying and merchandising teams, using data, customer insights, and trend research.
  • Align designs with brand strategy to deliver commercially successful collections.
  • Translate runway and emerging trends into wearable, commercial collections.
  • Prepare accurate technical specifications and packs for suppliers.
  • Stay continuously updated on fashion trends, colours, and fabrics.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior design team members.
  • Work closely with suppliers to provide guidance on trends, fabrics, and collection direction.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience designing lingerie and/or swimwear, supported by a strong portfolio.
  • Ability to design cohesive, storytelling collections that meet briefs and suit seasonal trends.
  • Experience building strong product ranges and working effectively with buying teams.
  • Strong understanding of global trend and colour forecasting.
  • Good understanding of the customer base and competitive market landscape.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong eye for design, colour, and silhouette.
  • Quick to respond to emerging trends and adapt collections accordingly.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits and inspirational trips.
