Experienced Wireman/Fitter

Location: NGED Region

Job Type: Full-time

About Us:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working on various substations mainly within the NGED region.

As an experienced Wireman/Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing works on NGED substations
• Be willing to undertake relevant training to achieve relevant authorisations to enable you to hold and manage Permit to Work (PTW) and Limitation of Access (LOA) systems
• Work safely and efficiently, adhering to substation policies and procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Wireman/Fitter
• Proven experience working on electrical substations
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, fitting, and earthing practices
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities

Desirable Qualifications:

• City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
• SSSTS (Site Safety Training Scheme) certification
• IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
• Telehandler operator training certification
• First Aid at Work certification
