Mechanical Fitter - Hydraulics - Contract Role

Stoke-On-Trent | ⏳ 6-Months+ Ongoing | £16.00–£18.00 per hour (PAYE)

We’re currently looking for experienced Hydraulic Fitters to join a growing manufacturing team in Stoke-On-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a long-term contract with a well-established company, specialising in fitting scanning equipment onto trailers and vehicles.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical fitting and assembly on various vehicles and equipment
• Working with metal work: drilling, tapping, marking out, and general fitting
• Installation of hydraulic systems
• Use of hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers) and power tools
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions

Key Requirements:

• Proven mechanical manufacturing or fitting experience
• Comfortable working with vehicles or trailers (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and instructions
• Experience with hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Confident using a variety of hand and power tools

Contract Details:

• 6-month contract – with potential for ongoing work
• £16.00–£18.00 per hour PAYE
• Overtime at 1.5x
• Full-time, on-site role in Stoke-On-Trent
