Risk & Compliance Officer
Maternity Cover (FTC)
Up To £45,000pa + Benefits + Hybrid Working
Global Law Firm - London Office
Our client, a globally recognised law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance professional to join them in their London office, covering maternity leave - working as their new Risk & Compliance Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and experienced Risk & Compliance department - headed up by the London-based Risk & Compliance Partner.
As the successful Officer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assisting with on-boarding new clients and matters
- Conducting client due diligence (CDD) and reviewing KYC documentation
- Undertaking AML and sanctions searches on clients
- Ensuring that matter information is kept accurate and up-to-date
- Assisting Risk Lawyers in preparation of annual internal file audits
- Reviewing any changes to the client which may impact client or matter risk

To be considered for this Officer opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Have a minimum of 18 months experience in a Legal Risk & Compliance position (AML, Conflicts, Sanctions, etc)
- Be educated to degree level (LLB/GDL)
- Be able to commit to a long-term FTC
- Have a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook/Word/Excel
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
