Job description

The Consultancy Group are currently supporting a global Consultancy on a complex carve-out, integration, and transformation and are seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to lead and support critical IT workstreams across the deal portfolio.


Key Responsibilities


  • M&A IT Execution: Lead and support both separation and integration projects from planning through delivery, ensuring all IT considerations are addressed
  • Project Management: Establish and manage IT workstreams, develop detailed plans, track progress, and deliver against key milestones
  • Client Engagement: Facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and run working sessions with client stakeholders across IT and business functions
  • Analysis & Delivery: Produce structured outputs including technology due diligence, infrastructure assessments, carve-out/integration plans, cost models, and TSA requirements
  • Strategic Advice: Advise on IT risks, dependencies, synergies, and one-off costs to support deal value and execution strategy
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across all functional areas
  • Output Creation: Develop client-ready deliverables and recommendations with minimal oversight


Requirements


This role requires an individual with strong experience in IT M&A projects, particularly in carve-out and integration scenarios. You must be comfortable leading sessions, managing stakeholders at multiple levels, and driving delivery. You will need to provide practical, actionable IT and technology advice in a deal context.

  • 8+ years in IT programme/project management, with a focus on M&A
  • Experience in consultancy or professional services environments preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
