Part-Time or Full-Time Sonographer Urgently Needed

Job Title: Sonographer

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a range of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular scans.
Interpret ultrasound images and provide accurate reports to referring clinicians.
Work collaboratively with radiologists, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Supervise and support junior sonographers and students in their clinical training.
Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and audit activities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures and patient interactions.
Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and practices.
Work within the ultrasound service as part of the community diagnostic centres.
Experience in obstetric, gynaecological, and abdominal ultrasound is essential.

Essential Qualifications:

A relevant degree or diploma in diagnostic imaging or equivalent.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a sonographer.
Extensive experience in performing a variety of ultrasound examinations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).

Skills Required:

Working Schedule:

Flexible hours; however, availability on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday is required.
Minimum hours: 08:00 am – 17:00 pm.
