Job Title: Site Agent – Clean Water Project

Location: South East London

Contract Type: Freelance (Ltd Company) or Permanent

Duration: 2+ years (potential for extension)

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday


A major clean water infrastructure project in South East London is now underway, and we’re seeking an experienced Site Agent to join the team. With works scheduled for over two years, this role offers long-term stability, technical challenge, and excellent career prospects.


The Role


As Site Agent, you’ll take the lead on site delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and programme objectives are met. This hands-on position requires both technical expertise and strong leadership skills, making it ideal for someone who has progressed from a Site Engineering background.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S standards, RAMS, and site procedures.
  • Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve issues.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and principal contractor representatives.
  • Support planning and sequencing, including temporary works management.


Requirements

  • Strong background in Site Engineering, with progression into site management.
  • Proven experience delivering clean water projects (essential).
  • SMSTS qualification required.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator experience (preferred).
  • Additional water-related qualifications advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive performance.
