Job Opportunity: Planner (Construction)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + package

We’re working with a leading contractor who is looking to add a Planner to their team. This role is open to both experienced Planners and ambitious Site Managers who are ready to take their knowledge of project delivery into a planning position.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and managing project programmes from pre-construction through to completion.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and commercial teams to ensure realistic, achievable schedules.
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and potential delays – keeping projects on track.
• Using planning software (Asta Powerproject / Primavera P6) to build and update programmes.

What we’re looking for:

✅ A background in construction management – either as an experienced Planner or Site Manager.

✅ Strong understanding of sequencing, resourcing, and subcontractor management.

✅ Confident communicator with the ability to engage delivery teams.

✅ Experience with planning software is beneficial (training provided if transitioning from site).
