The Role
We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead to take ownership of global supply planning across several core product categories. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring product availability, strengthening supplier partnerships, and optimising processes to support continued growth.
Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and managing a direct report, the successful candidate will drive strategy and execution across planning, inventory, and supplier management, while working cross-functionally with teams including Finance, Marketing, NPD, and Fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Lead global supply planning across key product categories, ensuring optimal stock levels and availability.
- Manage vendor relationships with third-party manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring performance across cost, service, and quality.
- Oversee ordering, production scheduling, and reporting to maintain adherence to plans.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across international fulfilment centres.
Strategy & Optimisation
- Own supply chain KPIs, reporting regularly to senior leadership on stock cover, supplier performance, and cost metrics.
- Deliver strategic projects including supplier diversification, ERP/tool implementation, cost reduction initiatives, and sustainability improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and supply chain agility.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure continuity of supply.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the supply chain lead in commercial, financial, and product development discussions.
- Build data-driven models to evaluate trade-offs and support informed decision-making.
- Lead projects such as new product launches, supply resilience programmes, and cost-saving initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a direct report, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide clarity on priorities and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Contribute to shaping the future team structure as the function grows.
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years’ supply chain experience within beauty & personal care, FMCG or related sectors
- 2-3 years in a leadership role (team management + cross-functional project ownership)
- Strong background in supply planning, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
- Skilled in vendor negotiations and performance management with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers.
- Ability to balance hands-on operational detail with strategic leadership.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and experience driving process improvements.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and effective at building efficient processes.
- Strong communicator and influencer with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for sustainability and embedding it within supply chain practices.
