Operations Superintendent (Tankers)

Location: London

Full-time Permanent Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced maritime professional to join a dynamic Fleet Department as an Operations Superintendent. This key role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of assigned vessels, supporting both commercial and technical teams across a range of global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee navigation, cargo, ballast, and mooring operations for fleet vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety management systems and international regulations.
  • Attend vessels worldwide to supervise operations and monitor performance.
  • Liaise with charterers, agents, and internal teams on operational matters.
  • Support inspections, risk assessments, and emergency response activities.
  • Contribute to budgeting, personnel appraisals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous sea-going experience as Chief Officer or above, must have sailed on chemical/oil tankers.
  • Strong operational knowledge and understanding of shipboard practices.
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
