Job description

Head of Delivery Manager

Digital Consultancy - Enterprise

London - 3 days in the office

Salary: £90-105k

Are you ready to step up and take ownership of delivery excellence across high-profile enterprise projects?

We’re seeking a Head of Delivery Manager to lead a team of delivery managers while remaining hands-on with complex client initiatives.

This role is business-critical and ideal for someone who has already managed teams and projects but is looking for their next big step in leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Delivery Managers (currently 3, scaling to 5).
  • Take direct ownership of enterprise-level projects (50/50 split between management and hands-on delivery).
  • Oversee greenfield builds, system migrations, and large-scale custom software development.
  • Set and uphold delivery governance standards, ensuring budgets, timelines, and risks are proactively managed.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and C-suite, managing expectations with confidence.
  • Escalate issues early, preventing risks before they become blockers.

What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

  • 5+ years’ project/delivery management experience with proven success in consultancy or agency environments (in-house profiles won’t be considered).
  • Track record leading people as well as projects – you thrive in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Strong governance skills, including budget/scope tracking and risk management.
  • Experience delivering both system migrations (Azure → AWS valuable) and greenfield projects.
  • Confident in enterprise-level stakeholder engagement and escalation.
  • Comfortable working across teams of 50–100 people with multiple dependencies.

Why This Role?

  • A rare opportunity to step into a Head of Delivery position with real impact.
  • Blend of hands-on delivery and strategic leadership.
  • Exposure to major enterprise clients and projects at scale.
  • Weekly mentorship sessions with Group COO, ensuring growth and guidance.
  • Competitive salary (£80–100k, up to £110k for exceptional candidates).
