Legal Counsel – Insurance & Reinsurance

London | Global Insurer | Competitive Salary

A leading global insurer is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel into its London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile international business and take on a genuinely broad role covering both insurance and reinsurance work.

The role will involve:

• Advising on treaty and facultative placements, both ceded and assumed
• Negotiating directly with brokers and business partners
• Working on collateral structures, captive arrangements and security agreements
• Supporting multinational programme work and regulatory developments
• Partnering closely with business stakeholders across international markets

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified lawyer with strong insurance or reinsurance experience (in-house or private practice)
• Comfortable negotiating and working directly with brokers, ceded re buyers or business stakeholders
• Strong technical grounding combined with a commercial, pragmatic outlook
• London-based (or able to work in London part of the week)
