Job description
Our client is a leading international law firm with an exceptional reputation within Real Estate and Employment law. They are now looking for a collaborative and pro-active HR Advisor to join their team in their fast-paced and growing London offices on a permanent basis.
The primary focus of this role will be to support the HR Manager’s in the provision of strategic and operational support to specific client groups (both fee earners and business services) and will have designated client groups to manage autonomously.
Key Duties Include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Overseeing and managing the new joiner/induction process.
- Conducting exit interviews and new joiner meetings.
- Managing less complex disciplinary and grievance procedures autonomously and more complex cases with the support from Manager.
- Monitoring absence and highlighting any concerns to Line Manager’s.
- Supporting HR Manager’s on performance/salary review processes.
- Writing and implementing HR policies while reviewing and suggesting any changes to existing HR policies.
- Demonstrating good knowledge of and providing advice on employment law (seeking legal input only when there is concern of risk/claim).
- Supporting and coaching Line Manager’s in relation to performance issues.
- Supporting and/or leading HR department projects and other such as DE&I/well-being/policies etc.
- Supporting the team with a strong knowledge and understanding of GDPR at all times.
The HR Advisor will ideally have HR advisory experience, preferably within professional services/law firm along with a sound understanding of current employment legislation and all areas of HR lifecycle. A CIPD Qualification will be advantageous. It is essential to demonstrate the ability to work in a high-pressured environment and juggle multiple conflicting priorities. This role will also involve stakeholder management requiring strong influencing and relationship building skills. The right candidate will possess excellent organisational and administration skills with strong attention to detail and be customer service oriented. The HR Advisor will be a flexible, pro-active professional with a collaborative approach.
