Job description
The Client:
A leading global insurance and reinsurance firm are looking for a 2-6 PQE insurance commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurance specific contracts, including broker, distribution agreements, binding authority agreements etc.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, tech, outsourcing vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Providing legal support on regulatory law on existing regulation and horizon scanning for any upcoming regulations
- Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including underwriting, product development, claims, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be a 2-6 PQE Insurance lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or insurance firm.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
*Candidates outside of this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
