Structures Supervisor – Gloucestershire

We are currently looking for an experienced Structures Supervisor to join our Gloucestershire County Council contract.

What You’ll Do:

As a Structures Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the delivery of bridge, retaining wall, and other structures maintenance and construction works. This is a hands-on role where you’ll:

• Plan and coordinate works from design through to on-site delivery.
• Supervise site teams and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with Gloucestershire County Council, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth delivery of works.
• Manage ordering and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment.
• Track progress and costs, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting contract requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience supervising structures works (bridges, retaining walls, or similar).
• Strong practical knowledge of highways or civil engineering environments.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive, safety-first approach.
• Confident communicator who can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage resources, logistics, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
