Senior Data Privacy Specialist - Europe


Location: London - Hybrid

Salary: £70 - 90K basic


Are you a seasoned privacy professional with a deep understanding of European data protection regulations? We are partnering with a leader in computer vision and AI dashcam technology to find a Senior Data Privacy Specialist to join their team in Europe and play a key role in expanding their operations.


About the Role


Our client is an innovative company that helps improve road safety with their cutting-edge AI dashcam technology. As they grow their presence in Europe, they need an engaging privacy expert to support their global team. This role is a crucial link between their technology and their customers, helping them navigate privacy requirements while achieving their safety objectives.

This position is ideal for a forward-thinking, senior leader who can stay current with data regulations and help evolve the company's privacy-by-design products.


Key Responsibilities


  • Customer Privacy Support: You will address privacy concerns from drivers, Works Councils, and other stakeholders, explaining the data access framework and guiding customers through privacy compliance resources, including a template DPIA.


  • European Privacy Intelligence: You will monitor European data protection regulatory developments, assess their impact on solutions, and gather customer feedback to help prioritize product enhancements. You will also represent the company's privacy-by-design approach at industry conferences.


What We Are Looking For


  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in European data protection/privacy (GDPR) frameworks and their practical implementation.
  • A strong understanding of B2B SaaS privacy considerations.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical or consultative role.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


Preferred qualifications include:


  • CIPP/E or a similar certification.
  • Fluency in German, Dutch, or French.
  • Experience in the transportation, logistics, or fleet management industry.
  • Experience with privacy impact assessments or AI products and governance.
