Job description

We are seeking a Technical Surveyor to join the Property Services team, providing expert technical support across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole locality. This role plays a key part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard, while delivering a great service to customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve day-to-day property maintenance issues raised internally or by customers.
  • Carry out inspections before, during, and after works to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Provide detailed specifications, including scope of works, quantities, costs, and timescales.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards.
  • Support in-house trades teams and external contractors to achieve first-time fixes.
  • Maintain accurate data across property systems and provide insight into asset and investment needs.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement.


Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance and building pathology.
  • Understanding of statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements within housing/property services.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret technical specifications and schedules of work.
  • Proven experience delivering maintenance/repair programmes within budget and timescales.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (with strong Excel knowledge).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required).
  • Ability to pass a basic DBS check.
