Packaging Design

Roles which fuel the innovation pipeline (build, expand and disrupt core innovation), identifying and translating consumer, shopper and customer insights into key quality attributes (KQA) and desirable packaging taken from first prototype through to industrial production. Custodians of brand technical knowledge and accountable for ensuring KQA are set and maintained during change projects (raws, process or continuous improvement).

Packaging Design Engineering

Packaging Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing product packaging (e.g., boxes, cartons, bottles, plastic wraps and other containers) including:

•Designing and constructing new packaging or improvements to existing packaging; testing, analysing, and selecting materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness

•Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes

•Designing process(s) to manufacture packaging; overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of packaging machinery, systems, and processes to ensure optimal performance

•Designing quality assurance/control processes and procedures into packaging design which may include compliance with specific technical and regulatory standards related to product packaging
