Assistant Building Surveyor, based in Head Office - Bermondsey
Podium is a company of Building Surveyors / Building Surveying Consultants, if you are looking to take the next step to becoming an RICS Chartered Surveyor then this role will be perfectly suited to you.
We understand the need for graduates and young Surveyors to successfully complete their APC process and become chartered, due to this we have implemented a robust training system to ensure that you attain chartered status as soon as is possible. This is supported with a generous external training budget and supported with unlimited internal assistance which will be given by our experienced senior members of staff.
In terms of work experience we will be able to provide you with a varied range of works to meet the criteria’s set out in the APC competencies. We will also provide you with all the help and support that you require and all we ask in return is an enthusiastic and proactive approach to striving to become a Building Surveyor.
The team are a very friendly and busy bunch. This role would suit someone who is proactive, organized, and able to work both independently as well as a part of the team.
The Assistant Building Surveying role will include work in the following areas of Building Surveying:
- Employers Agent (New Build).
- Contract Administration (Refurbishment).
- Design.
- Party Wall.
- Stock Condition Surveys.
- Planning advice and applications.
- Fire safety advice, fire risk assessments and design of remedial work.
- H&S (Principal Designer).
The role would suit an enthusiastic and confident Assistant Building Surveyor who is good at dealing with people but understands their own strengths and weaknesses. The successful applicant will need a suitable BSc or MSc in Building Surveying; however, all other training will be provided.
The candidate will report to a Partner as direct line manager.
The role may involve some travel, all within the UK.

Salary: £30K plus depending on experience.
