The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader pastry and culinary team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. As a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pastry Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality pastry and dessert experiences across all outlets. You will be expected to demonstrate creativity, precision, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work.
Preparation: Execute all aspects of Mise en Place (MEP) for pastry and bakery items, ensuring readiness and consistency for service across multiple outlets.
Food Quality & Presentation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked goods to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and visual appeal.
Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Uphold rigorous hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP and company policies.
Workstation & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all pastry kitchen areas, tools, and machinery are clean, organised, and well-maintained to support efficient operations.
Policy Implementation: Support the implementation of food policies, including allergen management and dietary requirements, ensuring compliance and guest safety.
Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of pastry ingredients to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the pastry and wider kitchen team, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
Learning & Development: Engage in continuous professional development, attending training sessions and seeking opportunities to expand your pastry skills and knowledge.
