Job description
Sell-Side M&A Lead (Advisory & Operations)
DealFlowAgent | London / Hybrid | Competitive base + OTE of £250k to £600k + equity
DealFlowAgent is the UK’s only AI-native M&A firm. We help business owners (£/$500k–£50m revenue) grow, automate, and sell their companies. Our proprietary AI agent platform, powered by Sage on the sell side and Sterling on the buy side, removes 70–80% of the administrative workload, freeing our advisors to focus on what actually drives results: strategy, negotiation, and client relationships.
We have 40 + businesses in our qualified pipeline that are actively interested in using our M&A platform. We need an expert advisor (you) to support with the management of these existing leads to support their end-to-end M&A processes, with the help of our AI agents, Sage and Sterling.
There’s now a proven global model for AI-native advisory: firms like OffDeal (on track to hit ~$10M revenue in 2025 - year two) and Japan’s M&A Research Institute (grew from $0 to $84M in four years and reached unicorn status) have demonstrated the scalability and commercial impact of this AI approach. DealFlowAgent is building the UK’s category leader in this emerging space.
The Role
We’re seeking a Sell-Side M&A Lead who can both close deals and strengthen the operational backbone of a scaling firm. You’ll manage the full sell-side lifecycle — from first founder call to signed Heads of Terms — while helping design and refine the systems, processes, and financial structures that underpin growth. Around 70% of your focus will be advisory and deal execution, and 30% will be operational management — ensuring we scale efficiently without losing quality or control.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory & Deal Execution (70%)
- Engage with 15–30+ business owners each month to onboard and manage sell side clients.
- Manage the full sell-side process from valuation, buyer outreach through negotiation to completion. Collaborating with Sterling (our voice agent) and specialist advisor partners where necessary and appropriate.
- Refine and personalise AI-generated deal materials (IMs, teasers, buyer lists).
- Build deep, trust-based relationships with founders and buyers.
Operations & Systems (30%)
- Streamline workflows, CRM pipelines, and SOPs for scale. This includes ensuring streamlined connection of acquirers to relevant sellers
- Oversee deal tracking, reporting, P&L analysis and KPI tracking.
- Work with the product and AI teams to improve automation and system reliability.
- Introduce scalable AI native processes that boost advisor productivity and client experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of two closed M&A transactions where you played a key role.
- Experience in sell-side advisory, investment banking, or corporate development.
- Strong negotiation and client relationship skills — not just back-office analysis.
- Commercially minded, with confidence in financials, valuation logic, and P&Ls.
- Comfortable using and refining outputs from AI or automation tools.
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment where structure and systems mattered.
- Familiarity with SaaS, fintech, healthcare, or service sectors is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: ~£80,000
- Commission: Uncapped OTE £250k–£600k++)
- Equity: Real upside in a fast-scaling, profitable business
- Flexibility: Hybrid working with London office access. Flexible but ideally 2 days a week locally in London but open to hearing from candidates who are abroad and working remote
- Perks: Travel to major M&A events, home office budget, and full access to our proprietary AI M&A suite
