Youth Inclusion – Sessional Coach

Locations: South West London & Surrey (various youth and community sites)

Pay Rate: £13.85/hr (London) | £12.60/hr (outside London)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Casual (flexible hours – evenings and weekends)


Are you passionate about supporting young people and using sport as a tool for positive change?

We're recruiting on behalf of Chelsea FC Foundation for Sessional Coaches to join their Youth Inclusion team. This is a great opportunity to get involved in meaningful, community-focused work — using sport and physical activity to engage young people, help them build life skills, and create safer, more inclusive environments.


About the Role:

As a Sessional Coach, you'll help deliver structured sessions in youth clubs, schools, and community venues. These include football and multi-sport activities, as well as leadership programmes and workshops covering key social topics. The focus is on engagement, inclusion, and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inclusive and engaging sports sessions to young people aged 10–18
  • Support workshops on leadership, social action, and youth issues
  • Help build relationships between young people and local services (e.g. Police, schools)
  • Plan and review sessions with colleagues, ensuring all admin and safeguarding paperwork is up to date
  • Ensure a safe, professional environment at all times
  • Work closely with other coaches and staff, communicating your availability regularly
  • Attend ongoing training as required


What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate or Youth Work Level 2 qualification
  • Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding certificates
  • Experience working with young people in a community, school or youth club setting


Desirable:

  • FA Level 1 (for Assistant Coach roles)
  • Youth Work Level 3 or a teaching/mentoring qualification
  • Multi-sport delivery experience
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Driving licence (or ability to travel across London/Surrey using public transport)
