Are you passionate about shaping policy, interpreting complex legislation, and making an impact across government and operational teams? We’re looking for a Policy & Technical Advisor to join our Business Controls team and help deliver high standards of policy and technical support to the client including employers, members, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Head of Policy & Technical, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that legislative developments are understood, effectively communicated, and embedded across our operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in public service delivery.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert Pensions technical and policy support to internal teams
  • Research, interpret, and communicate legislative developments, maintaining a forward view of potential changes through proactive horizon scanning.
  • Draft clear, accurate communications, reports, and technical responses within agreed deadlines.
  • Analyse the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on business operations and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Support cross-functional projects, training sessions, and change initiatives to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members, promoting a culture of quality and collaboration.
  • Represent the business positively at professional body events and other external forums.


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of legislation, regulation, or policy development within the Pension sector
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret statutory documents confidently.
  • Proven experience drafting technical communications, policy papers, or guidance materials.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement.
