We are currently supporting a leading crypto company in the search for a Chief Compliance Officer. This is a senior leadership role within a fast-growing and dynamic organisation focused on building robust compliance frameworks and navigating the evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets.

The successful candidate will lead the compliance function and act as a strategic advisor to the business on a wide range of regulatory matters with the FCA & AMF, with a particular focus on global compliance strategy, regulatory engagement, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the compliance team, ensuring effective execution of regulatory requirements and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls tailored to the crypto and digital assets industry
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and ensure proactive compliance with applicable laws and standards
  • Build and manage a regulatory compliance roadmap aligned with business growth and industry best practices
  • Oversee external regulatory reporting obligations and manage relationships with regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to align compliance strategies with business objectives
  • Provide compliance guidance on new products, services, and initiatives within the crypto ecosystem
  • Lead regulatory audits, examinations, and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Foster a strong compliance culture through training programs, awareness initiatives, and best practices
  • Prepare and present compliance updates to Boards and senior stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within financial services, fintech, or crypto industries
  • Strong expertise in regulatory frameworks relevant to digital assets, crypto, and blockchain technologies
  • Proven experience working with financial regulators globally, especially in EMEA, the UK, or France
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing compliance programs in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Deep understanding of the crypto and digital assets industry
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
