Job description
A streetwear brand in Manchester are looking for a Menswear Buyer to join their small but growing team. They are looking for someone to source, select, and manage a commercially viable fashion product range that aligns with brand identity, customer demand, and seasonal trends. The Buyer is responsible for driving sales and profitability by working collaboratively with suppliers, designers, merchandisers, and marketing teams.
The Brand
A small but growing menswear streetwear brand based in Manchester are looking for a Menswear Buyer with some experience in buying and a strong eye for menswear product. You’ll work closely with the Design team and CEO to plan new and profitable ranges across casual, streetwear, and premium fashion categories.
The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Working with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers when required.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiating best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- In conjunction with Design, developing commercially viable ranges that reflect the brand strategy.
- Monitoring fashion trends, street style, influencer movements, and competitor activity.
- Attending trade shows, fashion weeks, and retail comp shops.
- Anticipating customer needs using sales and trend data to deliver relevant product ranges.
- Working with merchandising to achieve sales, margin, and stock targets.
- Reviewing sales performance and adjusting the range to optimise bestsellers and manage slow movers.
- Supporting markdown and promotional strategies.
- Driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring suppliers meet quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
About You
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a buying role, ideally within a fashion or apparel business and experience with Mens own brand buying
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of UK fashion retail landscape.
- Proven track record of selecting trend-led ranges that perform commercially.
- Skilled in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
- Confident working with financial data and trading KPIs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

The role is based 5 days a week in the office and paying between 40k and 45k.
