Interim Employment Counsel in City of London

Job description

We're working with a leading media company to find a skilled Employment Lawyer for a 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential to be extended or become permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join an in-house legal team within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Candidates must be immediately available or able to start on short notice.

The Role:

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment law issues, including contracts, disputes, and HR matters.
• Support the business with employee relations issues, ensuring compliance and legal risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide commercial, solution-driven legal support on employment-related matters.
• Advise on legal aspects related to redundancy, disciplinary actions, grievances, and other workplace issues.

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ year PQE in employment law.
• Experience within the media industry would be beneficial but not essential.
• A practical, commercial approach to advising on employment law matters.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied caseload under tight deadlines.
