Commercial Solicitor – Principal Associate

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

A leading regional law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Solicitor at Senior or Principal Associate level to join its growing Business Services team. The firm advises a wide range of clients, from start-ups to established corporates, on complex and varied commercial matters. You will work closely with an award-winning Corporate team, delivering strategic, practical advice across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of non-contentious commercial matters
• Draft and negotiate bespoke commercial agreements and standard terms
• Provide advice on intellectual property, IT, data protection, franchising, and consumer law
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
• Lead and support business development initiatives
• Supervise and mentor junior team members

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in commercial law
• Strong technical ability and sound commercial judgement
• Experience handling complex contractual and business arrangements
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Proactive, client-focused, and confident in business development
