Keltbray – Head of Electrification
Main Purpose of the job
The Head of Electrification will lead the strategic development, delivery, and growth of electrification initiatives across the business, with a strong focus on integrating battery storage, solar, and wind technologies into construction and infrastructure projects. This role will play a pivotal part in driving the transition towards sustainable energy solutions, ensuring projects are commercially viable, technically robust, and aligned with client and regulatory expectations.

- Risk, opportunity, and issue management – the ability to identify and monitor risks (threats and opportunities), to plan and implement responses to those risks, and respond to other issues that affect the change initiative.
- Consolidated planning – the ability to consolidate and document the fundamental components of a change initiative: scope; schedule; resource requirements; budgets; risks; opportunities and issues; and quality requirements.
- Governance arrangements – the ability to establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance and delivery of change initiatives and align with organisational practice.
- Clients, stakeholders, and communications management – the ability to manage stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
- Reviews – the ability to establish and manage reviews at appropriate points, during and after change initiatives, which will inform governance of the change initiatives, by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies, and continuing relevance.
Role Specifics
Leadership and Strategy:
- Define and lead the company’s electrification strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability, net-zero, and growth objectives.
- Act as subject matter expert for battery storage, solar PV, and on/offshore wind technologies.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in the renewable energy and storage markets.
Project Delivery & Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the design, planning, and delivery of electrification projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and best practice.
- Drive integration of renewable energy systems into construction and infrastructure project risk assessments.
- Provide technical direction to internal engineering teams and external consultants/partners.
Commercial & Business Development:
- Lead business development initiatives in electrification markets, securing new opportunities across battery, solar, and wind projects.
- Build partnerships with utilities, developers, technology providers, and regulators.
- Support bid teams with technical input, cost modelling, and project proposals.
Team Development & Stakeholder Management:
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing electrification team.
- Collaborate with operational, commercial, and project teams to embed electrification expertise across the business.
- Provide technical direction to internal engineering teams and external consultants/partners.
