Job description

A well established AJ100 firm in Central London, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented senior GIS/CAD member to support the delivery of large-scale masterplanning projects and be a part of a growing masterplanning and urban design team.


The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of professional experience in urban planning, architecture, or landscape architecture environments, with a strong focus on the Middle East region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the GIS and CAD workflows across masterplanning projects, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and manage spatial databases, maps, and visualizations to support planning and design decisions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including urban designers, planners, and engineers.
  • Translate conceptual designs into detailed CAD drawings and GIS datasets.
  • Integrate GIS analysis into planning reports and presentations.
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with project and regional requirements.
  • Support site analysis, land use planning, and infrastructure mapping using GIS tools.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience working on large-scale masterplanning projects.
  • Proven experience working on projects in the Middle East (e.g., Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar).
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of spatial analysis, data management, and cartographic principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BIM integration and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Rhino, Revit).
  • Familiarity with regional planning regulations and cultural contexts in the Middle East.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder) is a plus.
